Why Malta?

Malta is perfectly located in the middle of the Mediterranean surrounded by crystal clear blue waters. A
popular tourist destination that is known for its warm climate, breathtaking landscapes and its extraordinary 7,000 years of history. It provides the perfect destination for a multi-activity holiday. Malta is also considered to be one of the safest countries in the world. The country has two official languages, English and Maltese, both languages being equally spoken across the islands.

Maltese people are well-known for their hospitality, friendliness and warm Mediterranean culture. The history and ever-growing tourism all contribute to making Malta one of the most visitor-friendly countries in Europe.

Where Are We?

IELS Malta school is located in the popular seaside tourist town of Sliema, one of the island's most vibrant and popular towns, making it an ideal destination for learning English. Known for its picturesque promenade, excellent shopping, cafés, and restaurants, Sliema offers the perfect balance between study and leisure. Its central location and convenient public transport connections make it easy to explore Malta's historic sites, beaches, and neighbouring towns, while the Valletta ferry and Gozo high-speed ferry are just a short ride away.

Meeting locals and international visitors from around the world creates a friendly, multicultural environment where learning extends beyond the classroom through real-life conversations and everyday interactions.

Dear Yuko,

Thank you for your feedback. We take all feedback very constructively and use it as an opportunity for improvement. We always work on offering a wide range of activities, however, it also depends on other factors such as availability, weather conditions, number of bookings etc. Therefore, it might happen that some activities repeat.

We are always happy to discuss students’ requests in person, please feel free to talk to the Leisure Team at school reception.

Best Regards,

IELS Malta
