St. Bernard Adventure Camp is designed for children and teenagers aged 12 to 17 who want to improve their language skills while experiencing exciting outdoor adventures in the Swiss Alps. The programme combines 15 hours of language lessons per week with a variety of adventure activities and practical survival challenges, offering the perfect balance between academic development, physical activity and exploring the natural environment. Participants can enjoy activities such as river rafting, canoeing, climbing, zip-lining, gorge crossings and multi-day trekking excursions. They also learn essential survival techniques, including how to navigate using a map and compass, build emergency shelters, make fire without matches, tie different types of knots and identify useful plants and animals. These hands-on experiences encourage independence, resilience, problem-solving and teamwork while allowing students to discover the beauty of the Alpine wilderness.

Language classes are taught in small groups of approximately 6 students, allowing teachers to adapt lessons to individual needs and language levels. With courses suitable for levels ranging from beginner to proficient. Through interactive activities, games, role-playing, theatre, projects and audiovisual materials, students develop their speaking, listening, reading and writing skills in an engaging learning environment. The programme places a strong emphasis on communication and practical language use, helping students practise their chosen language naturally throughout the day. During the adventure activities, participants also learn about Alpine geography, local wildlife, flora and environmental issues, with practical outdoor instruction conducted in English. This combination of classroom learning and real-world experiences helps students develop confidence, adaptability and a greater appreciation for nature.

The camp takes place in the picturesque village of Liddes, in the St. Bernard region of the Swiss Alps, in the canton of Valais. Participants stay in welcoming mountain chalets with full-board accommodation, including three meals a day, and benefit from 24-hour supervision by the camp team. The programme includes outdoor adventures, excursions and evening entertainment, with activities such as campfires, group challenges, quizzes, movie nights, karaoke and a disco. One of the highlights is an overnight trekking excursion, during which participants learn to set up a bivouac-style camp in the wilderness under the guidance of experienced instructors. The weekly schedule may vary according to weather conditions, group size and participants' interests, ensuring a flexible and engaging experience.
